Product Review: Kimera (Nootropic Infused) Koffee
A fresh cup of coffee in the morning gets millions of people going, and with the popularity of nootropics it was only a matter of time before someone combined the two. Enter – Kimera Koffee.
Recently, I had a chance to test their Dominican blend.
Upon pouring it out of the bag I noticed small white specks throughout the grounds - which are the cognitive enhancers. These nootropics are what sets this coffee apart from others.

I like to drink my coffee black. While drinking, I can taste a small hint of something different compared to normal coffee, presumably this taste comes from the nootropics. However, it wasn’t in every cup I brewed – yet occasionally I could taste a subtle hint of the supplements. The taste starts like most coffee then a hint of citrus then it slowly flows into an earthy aftertaste. One of my favorite characteristics is that it goes down smooth from top to bottom. On a 1-10 scale, I would give it a solid 8. It’s better than standard coffee and on par with the more boutique blends.
I tried it in several ways: French press, percolated, pour-over and even as an espresso shot. The consistency in taste holds throughout all the techniques, which is a wonderful bonus since some brewing methods can drastically change the flavor.
The proprietary nootropic blend contains 725mg of nootropics including alpha-GPC, L-theanine, taurine and DMAE. The scientist in me wonders how much of each component (mg) is in the coffee. That’s the thing with proprietary blends – you never know. Hopefully, like the trend with preworkout supplements, they’ll soon list each ingredient out separately.
Overall I enjoyed testing this product. I can see why they are leading the pack when it comes to nootropic coffee!
